What time should I arrive?

We kindly encourage guests to arrive by 3:30 PM. Seating will open at that time, and the ceremony will shortly begin promptly. To avoid any disruptions, we won't be able to seat guests once the ceremony starts—thank you for helping us keep everything on time!

What is the timeline of events?

Please view the full schedule of events on the Events tab of our website. There, you'll find details such as when we encourage guests to arrive, the ceremony start time, cocktail hour, reception, cake cutting, and more.

What's the dress code?

Our wedding will be formal / black tie optional. We kindly ask guests to avoid the following:

• Casual attire (t-shirts, shorts, casual sundresses, flip flops, jeans, or sneakers)
• White, ivory, cream, or any color that could be mistaken for white (white dress-shirts are ok!)
• Red (this color is reserved for the bride and groom's traditional Chinese wardrobe change)

Ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, or dressy separates. Gentlemen may wear suits with a tie. For mood board inspo, see here.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

All events on our special day will be held outdoors. Temperatures around MONTH DATE historically range from 73-77°F (around 23-25°C) during the day, dropping to 50-60°F (10-15°C) in the evening. We recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl for later in the evening, just in case.

Will parking be provided?

Yes — parking will be available for all guests on-site at Villa Montalvo, with multiple lots located inside the property.

Will there be an after-party?

We are planning on it! More deets to come. ;) The reception will conclude at 10PM.

Are kids welcome?

While we adore your little ones, we kindly request an adults-only celebration. Thank you for arranging childcare so you can enjoy the evening with us! We are happy to assist in exploring local childcare resources if helpful.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited capacity, your invitation is addressed specifically to the names listed. If you were extended a plus one, their name will appear alongside yours when you RSVP.

How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP through the 'RSVP' button on the Home tab of our website. Enter your full name into the search bar to locate your invitation. If you have any trouble finding your name, please reach out to us directly.

When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you RSVP by MONTH DATE, 2026 so we can finalize seating and catering.

What kind of food will be served?

We'll be serving cocktail hour bites followed by a family-style dinner catered by MICHI, a Bay Area caterer known for their Asian-inspired flavors and fresh, creative dishes. And of course, we'll end the evening with cake.

Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?

Yes! Please note any dietary restrictions when you RSVP and our caterers will accommodate.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes — we'll have an open bar with cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options throughout the evening, along with dinner wine and champagne for toasts.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We're having an unplugged ceremony so everyone can be truly present with us. Before we begin, we'll pause for a quick 30-second photo moment, then kindly ask you to put phones away and enjoy. Don't worry — our photographer will capture it all so you don't miss a thing!

Is there a wedding registry?

Your presence is the greatest gift of all, and we're so grateful to have you celebrate with us. If you feel inclined to give, we would deeply appreciate a cash gift toward our honeymoon and future together. A wedding card box will be available at the entrance of our venue, or you may Venmo us at (@username). We will not be providing a traditional wedding registry. Thank you again for being such an important part of our special day!
